Steyr S9 or S40

I am considering the purchase of a compact Steyr pistol for CCW. I own and love the Steyr M series pistols but want one exclusively for carry. Suggestions??

Steyr S9 or Steyr S40

cant go wrong with either
get both the price/quality is unmatched

if you cannot get both, match it with your M series caliber pistol. save money on buying ammo if you dont already have a gun in that caliber or dont feal adventurous. if you got a m357 get a m40 barrel for it and go with s40. recoil sensitive maybe the s9 is better option then again federal hydrashock in 40S&W 135gr is quite nice on the recoil while sending the projectile at a modest speed 1115-1180fps energy 400+ft lbs.

M series magazines do work in S series btw. only difference is floor plate. M series has big block that goes into mag well and S series does not.

I have a M40 and I'm getting an S9. I picked the 9mm b/c

A. I want a 9mm in my arsenal
B. The ammo is cheaper
C. Softer recoil in a smaller gun (though I don't it would make that big of a difference)

I plan on using the S9 as a main carry and saving the other for when I go places like Memphis and Little Rock. If I had the $ I would have one of each.
