Yes - but it would be like putting a dress on a pig.
You really ought to buy an STI or Caspian slide and have it fitted, or buy a pre-fitted frame and slide short block kit from STI. Also, make sure you get a NON-ramped frame unless you plan on a new barrel (which also wouldn't be a bad idea).
Also, the standard frames come with oversize rails, and need to be fitted, so it wouldn't be a drop in deal. The STI's are NOT series 80 (I don't know about the Taurus).
If you use the long wide frame the front cuts on the slide will look odd, but I've seen it done.
Honestly, there's no shortcut to a proper custom widebody - it's going to run you at least $1500 to do it right.
