Stoeger/llama

So have posted this question on several sites, but no answer yet,
Anyone know if stoeger actually made 1911 models for llama, or maybe they just imported them.
Have a fella claims he has one from the 60's that is made by stoeger,

He has it backwards. Stoeger does not manufacture anything, they have been an importer and distributor for many years. Including bringing in Llamas from Spain.

Stoeger, now a subsidiary of Beretta, manufactures Beretta designs in Turkey, like the Cougar and some shotguns. But that is now. In the 60's they were just an importer.

Back in the late 70's and early '80's I had a Llama 9mm. I had to send it to the Llama smith for some serious work but when he returned it, it was a joy. That is one of the 5 or 6 that ran away from home and I wished I had it back.

I had a Llama .380 in the 70's that looked like a shrunken 1911 except for the addition of a vent rib.

Not a bad little gun, it never stuttered for me.
