I'll look for another maker in the same price range. $550 or so.
My advice? Don't.
Maybe a CZ or DeHaan imported Huglu, in a single gauge, for $700, but I'd advise nothing cheaper.

A good 28 gauge SxS is probably the most expensive class of shotgun out there, You're not going to touch a good one until you get into the thousands, not the hundreds, of dollars. SKB quit making them, too, unfortunately.
If you don't NEED it to be a SxS, but just want the lively feel, the Browning Cynergy is an exceptional firearm, though it looks a bit unconventional unless you get the "Classic" version. However, it feels GREAT, and the frame of the 20 is true-to-size, with overall weight just over 6 lb. It's 2 grand, though.

A lot of O/U's just don't feel anything like a SxS, since they're tall. But Beretta O/U's are really nice, too, low-profile and quick, but I don't think they use scaled-down frames.
Also, the Citori Superlight Feather is nice, with an English grip and under 6 lb. in 20 Gauge -- VERY different from most Citoris, which are the farthest thing from a SxS, and just too tall and heavy, IMHO.

The other option, probably your best option, is to look at the used market. SxS shotguns once were dime-a-dozen. Many old ones will give you great service for a low price.
