SUCKS!! Sorry for the loss.
I had a knife stolen in transit to a buyer back in the late 90's, it showed up 12 years later at a dealer's shop. Knives turn up at varying places and among them pawn shops in the area. I've bought back some of mine off eBay and pawn shops that do have online listings. Just have to hunt for them and with a name on them it makes a search easier. The sad yet good part is they often sell for $.10 to the $ at pawn shops. Be on the hunt the next coupe months.
