when I hand a knife (of mine) to someone I present it to them handle first edge down, so they can hold it as they would normaly use it, this usually leaves my palm print on the spine. Handing my knife to somone is not done with my most rust sensitive toys, and i'm always ready to draw my secondary, in case they try to use my knife against me ( I usually carry at least four ). Blood causes the most rapid oxidization I've ever seen, two hours on a CS carbonV, so keeping someone from injured themselves has a practical use aswell. There are commercialy available ''rust ereasers'' that work real well but wear off stamping, and light eching, there about four bucks each 3/4''x1/2''x3''. Has anyone tried to use ''tuffcloth'' its supposed to leave a surface coating but I've never tried any?
