This is a real simple minded question. I have some standalone bullet tubes that fit in my Hornady bullet die. Both homemade and Hornady tubes. The homemade tubes are 36" long and made from brass tubes. At present I have them laying around. I would like to mount some kind of hanger to the side of my reloading bench shelves and hang them (out of the way and yet handy). Has anybody found a solution for storing these that they really like? I have 7 at present and may possibly make or buy more.

May take a block of wood and drills holes deep enough to support them. Then secure them to the side of your bench. Or use some pvc pipe and make a storage container for them.

Yes, I even have some dowels that I was going to peg into some wood and slide the tube over the dowel. I was just hoping someone was making a hanger much like inlinefabrication has for the primer tubes.

I strung some cord between two screws drilled into my ceiling and slide my feeder tubes between the cord and ceiling. Keeps them out of the way and safe from getting broken. Theirs a ton of options without spending a bunch of money on it.

I have about 5 homemade tubes from clear plastic 7/16" stock (for 9mm). Honestly, I just keep refilling the one I have on the bullet feeder die as it holds about 75 pills. This works better for me as the plastic tubes are fragile. I store the others in a 4x4 pvc fence post mounted to a board.

With the Hornady tubes, or others that use the same 'clip' system to hold the bullets until the tube is in place, one could bore all the way through and use the 'clips' on the tubes to keep 'em from falling through.

Depending on your fancy, one could use some 'purdy' wood,,,, finish it out,,, etc.

In my ~doesn't have to be THAT purdy~ world, I'd probably head to Homer Depot and pick up a piece of aluminum 'angle iron',,, Drill holes for the tubes in one flange. locate and drill and a few small holes in the opposite flange for screws to mount to a wall, the edge of the bench, etc,,

Could scuff / 'rattle-can' it if one felt the need,,,,

Hmmm,,, I may have just created another project for myself,,,,,,,,

I thought about that and may just give it a try. The pvc pipe could also work. We have some innovative people on this forum. Thanks

Some of the clamp type broom holders go down pretty small.
Might be a quick if somewhat ugly option.

The following is just to start your creative juices. I bought the new rifle tube bullet feeders from RCBS. I decided to store the tubes on the base I made for the Hornady pistol bullet feeder collator.......along with everything else I could think of.......no since wasting space right next to the progressive. ;)
Below: You can see 2 bullet tubes, a .223 and a .308. Plenty of room to drill more holes for more on both sides of the support. Not drilled yet in the picture, but I ended up drilling the red tube's side to hang bolts to hang more wrenches shown below to.

Below: You can just see the bottom of the powder check video screen.....and the rare earth magnet I ripped out of an old computer hard drive.....the 7/16 wrench is stuck to it.

Below: Hanging on either side of the magnet is brass "S" hooks I made to hang my extra primer slides on. Also
seemed the perfect place to hold a set of hex wrenches. The other two wrenches....die nut wrench and shell plate
wrench I also hang on the Hornady bullet feeder collator support tube on each side. I just drilled and tapped the square
tubing and screwed in bolts to hang them on. Screwed nuts on the bolts first then into tubing....nuts then tighten against the tube.

Don't forget the space under your bench.....you could mount a bunch of clear tubing taped together and angled underneath, front top to back bottom and drop your brass tubing into it......make it a little short so the brass tubes stick out enough to grasp.

HHmm looks a lot like a magnet from a dead hard drive.
Good little magnets, unfortunately I seem to have more of them than I would likeo_O and :uhoh: looks like a couple new magnets today.:cuss:
Clever way to organize stuff, looks good.
(they just don't seem to make hard drives like they used to)
