What kind of accuracy of grouping could I expect out of a Beretta Storm 9mm at 50 yds. with a red dot scope on it????? I am thinking about selling my M1 Carbine to purchase the Storm and wanted to know if it's worth doing so???

I only shot a Storm once when a friend and I were sighting in his Aimpoint.
This is what we were getting at 50 yards with his FMJ reloads.

You might be interested that 115gr FMJ Win Wt Box does 1306 FPS from a 16 inch barrel (my UZI) and Aguila IQ HP does 1877 FPS.

Hi-Point

I seem to recall someone telling me that I could get a Hi-Point and put a ATI stock on it and it would look just like the Storm. :what:

Does anyone have a picture of one of these Hi-Point conversions and how is it's accuracy?????

There is a picture on this board somewhere of the HP with the ATI stock. And yes, it does look very similar to the Beretta. The HP carbine's accuracy is very good.

The only problem the HP has IMHO is the lack of suitable magazines. HP makes only 10 rounders IIRC. Another company makes 15 rounders, but they have problems.

I would rather buy a HP and the ATI stock. The Beretta is a good carbine, but way too expensive for my tastes. For the same money, one could buy a rifle.

Another option you might want to explore is the Kel-Tec Sub 2000. It doesn't look as futuristic as the Storm, but it does accept common mags and has the neat feature of folding in half, down to a package of 16" x 7".
