What's not to love about a weapon that is the issued long arm of the Marines on the Battlestar Galactica? :D

I own a beretta storm. It is very accurate for me to 75 yards. The trigger is mediocre. The price is on the high side of the price/value equation. If just a plinker is desired I would recommend looking at the high point or the kel tec sub 2000. There is an aftermarket stock made now for the high point so it isn't so agressively ugly. The kel tec fold up so it can become quite compact. Guys at my club use both for the carbine competitions and have had sucess with them.

Yes the trigger group is plastic

Did I intuit correctly that the Storm has plastic fire control components?

The mag catch button is plastic. The actual bit that sticks out to engage the magazine is metal.

The trigger is plastic. But the actual bit that engages the sear, et. all is metal. Bolt is metal. Recoil spring guides are plastic, but funky alien engineered springy plastic. Everything else pertinent in the gun is metal except for the bodywork itself, including the sights.

Some of the fire control parts are POLYMER, not plastic.

Does that matter? It's not like metal parts can't break or wear out. Matter of fact, some polymers (and I'd guess the kind used in the Storm would be in this category) have a higher stress rating than most metals.

If the polymer is made right, it's bulletproof. If it's made like crap, it's cheap plastic. The same goes for metal parts.

Non issue, or there'd be a ton of reports of broken FCG parts in Storms. There aren't.

I've had one (9mm) for two years. It's not my favorite gun, but my teenage boys love it. If I tried to sell my Beretta Storm the kids would have me committed.

At the outdoor range the Storm will ring the 8" gong at 75 yards most time. 100 yards is tough with the Walmart special 9mm FMJ loads that we shoot.

The Storm has never jammed or failed to extract, despite many round fired through it. Not even once.
