Hey everyone
I recently bought my Gf a AR-15 stripper lower reciever for valentines day and I have been taking her to gunshops so she can handle some AR's and see how she wants to build hers.

She has decided on a 16 inch barrel and likes the short handgaurds. Unfortunatley she has fairly short arms however she doesn't like collaspable stocks because she said they seem cheap.

I know they make a short tactical entry fixed stock but im guessing that is as short as a collaspable stock when collapsed. She liked the collapsable stock in the second position.

So It got me thinking, is it possible for me to put a collasable stock buffer tube on her lower reciever then, cut down a fixed stock to fit it? Or will that not work?

Let me know

Not a stupid question at all.
The best choice may be a Magpul PRS stock.

If she wants a better built collapsable stock take a look at this link http://www.bravocompanyusa.com/AR15-Stocks-s/49.htm
Look at the standard $65 M4 stock, and look at the more expensive stocks from LMT, Vltor, and Magpul. See if you can find a dealer that has some of those to let you handle. They're much more substantial than a standard M4 stock.

5/8" won't be short enough I considered an A1 stock. Also the tactical entry model is too short. A freind of mine told me about a Bantam stock which I had never heard of for thr AR-15. Though he said they might be hard to find.

I like the skeleton stocks

I think that they are comfy and they are nice and light and I think that you can get them in varying lenghts
