Stupid lady at Starbucks

A good friend of mine works at Starbucks here in California. She told me last night about a lady who was in Starbucks, getting a latte, who freaked out on a UNIFORMED police officer when he walked in, with his weapon in his duty holster. She asked him "how dare you bring a weapon in here? That doesn't belong here! blah blah blah <instert leftists anti-speak>"
Hearing about that made me pretty upset. Some people are just too stupid for their own good.

"OK, When I come to your home @3:00AM after your 9-1-1 call about person(s) smashing down your front door, I'll be sure to leave my gun in the trunk of my cruiser."

I'll pass that along to the woman who told me about this idiot. She works at Starbucks, and is a conservative, pro-gun, pro-military kind of girl, and good looking on top of it! Hmm...I think I'll call her and see what she's doing for dinner

Hey now, Starbucks bashers ... I'll admit to patronizing my neighborhood (overpriced) Starbucks ('cause it's close to my house, on the way to work, and it's the only place around all the baristas know how I like my a.m. coffee). I sure don't make it a habit to spend time inside the store, because one does tend to overhear some really, really unbearable political discussion (and why is it the loudest folks are always wearing Birkenstocks, driving Volvos that still sport Kerry-Edwards stickers and drinking de-caf lattes? Why does anyone drink de-caf anyway?).

I do try to make a point of being seen climbing out of my pick-up or SUV (which I usually back up in front of the store) with the NRA decals visible ...

They fundamental hypocracy of people like that is truly nauseating. They're virulently anti-gun, but WTSHTF, the first thing they do is call for someone with a gun to come save their sorry, worthless hide. They're too cowardly and feckless to fight for their own life, but they expect some underpaid civil servant to do it for them.

Given that pacifism is a privilege of the protected, you'd think the least they'd do is have some appreciation for the protectors. They truly need to be kept out of the genepool, thy're really just too damn stupid to be allowed to breed X 10 to the 23rd power.

Happily, I've honed my listening skills to the point where most folks sound just like Charlie Browns grandmother....WAA WA WAAA WAA WA

Once in a while, the skill will be on the fritz just enough that close conversations will slip through. I'm at the point in my life that I'll just stick my nose right in and tell them the logical fallacies in their arguments, and if I'm feeling kinda mean, tell them how stupid they sound. Then I go back to minding my own business as if nothing happened. They usually just look confused, and often move away. I'm OK with that.

For the record, I don't spend money at Starbucks. The only time I go in is when I know my friend is working, mostly because I like talking to her, and also because she slips me free Starbucks product

Some years back a starbucks was robbed and an employee shot. Starbucks decicded to donate all or a large portion (I forget) of the profits from that location to the MMM/Brady.
