Stupid Question...Need Help

I tried to install a +2 extension mag base on one of my Glock 27 mags.

I can't figure out for the life of me how to get the base/floorplate off!

I push in the detent in the bottom, but the two little protrusions on the sides won't let the mag base slide off the bottom of the mag tube. I tried compressing the mag base upward to let the protrusions slide in the grooves, but no dice.

What am I missing???

While pushing in on the release push the back of the mag base against a table edge. First time is always hard.

After you get the Plus-2 on, they are much easier to remove.

Just drop it on a hard floor and it will probably dissemble itself automatically!

In case you haven't guessed, I tried Plus-2's several years ago, and promptly threw them in the trash after I dropped a loaded mag and it puked it's guts out!
