yeah yeah...

so here's the question. Me dad just gave me a Leupy VX2 for my .30-06, and I notice when I look through it I sometimes lose focus of the reticule. My eyes automatically focus on the target object, and the reticule goes fuzzy. I can re-focus on the reticule by looking at something flat and blank, but can't seem to do so looking at objects.

So far, this is all indoors or out a window, and guestimating eye relief -- it's not mounted to the rifle yet.

Is this a scope issue? A "Kaylee's losing her eyesight" issue? What?

Thanks!

Kaylee, Leupold are somewhat hard to focus without being mounted on a rifle. They also have more eye relief and are a tad touchier because of this. On the Len focus on the front bell there is an adjustment for focus as well that you can dial in after mounting the scope.

I wouldn't worry unless your eyes are like this:what: or this:rolleyes:

Yeah, get it mounted on the rifle. An adjustable objective lens gives a sharp focus at some particular distance, but clarity of the crosshairs and a target out at 100 yards or more can be had from adjusting the eyepiece. No biggie.
