So is the traveling issue now settled ?, or are there more steps to go

If Governor Perry signs HB 1815 as expected, it will go into effect on September 1, 2007. I believe this is a much better bill than the one that passed in 2005.

HB 1815 - which is almost certain to be signed - will solve the problem by rewriting the definition of travelling to make it clear that peaceable citizens carrying a handgun in their car are not the problem. Apparently certain DAs weren't able to wrap their heads around that concept previously and needed the nudge from the legislature.

As for this session 8 for 8 pro-gun bills passed... no anti-gun bill even voted on! If you aren't a member of TSRA, you definitely should be... imagine what we could be getting accomplished if we were even stronger?

Ugh I wish Ohio would follow Texas' example. We scrapped the bad laws last year, but we need Castle Doctrine to sweeten it.
