Me and a buddy went sheep hunting, and I managed to take down a Merino ram. I had an awesome day

Sheep and goats cause dry land by eating almost all vegetation. They surmise that's what happened in parts of Ethiopia to cause the desertification.

Yes now I remember- the old sheep vs cattle wars in the 1800's. Just looks so different then the near vertical terrain I find sheep in Alaska. What are those spikey looking plants? The one's that look like giant sea urchins?

Thanks for replies, guys! Those spiky-looking plants were weird mini-palms, almost. There were cacti everywhere, I was pulling spines from my clothes for two days.
