Suggest a OWB, Standard Height, Leather Holster for Security Six

Hi there,

Currently have a Galco High Ride holster for my "new-to-me" Security Six ... works well but I want to shop around for a holster that is:

1) Standard or low ride height (or at least adjustable)
2) Leather
3) Open top
4) 1.5" belt loops (my belts are this size)
5) Must fit Ruger Security Six 4" (K-frame equivalent)

Obviously, this holster need not be concealable but if it is, then even better! Any suggestions?

I have a k-frame holster that fits my Speed 6 perfectly..I have a Thumb break scabbard...it rides a little lower.I don't care for a high ride either....not sure if the speed scabbard rides the same,but I assume it does.at least it doesn't "say" high ride...I had a thumb break scabbard for a 1911 and just cut the thumb break part off and it worked great...
the thing I like about these holsters from desantis is that you can actually wear them between your belt and pants..it holds the gun nice and tight w/out having IWB(which I also hate)

Mernickle holsters are great I have 3 of them for 3 different weapons and after wearing holsters as a cop for 33 years I like Mernickle OWB holsters the best. I wasn't too ambilvelent was I?

Did low-riding leather become extinct? Honestly, is drawing a 4" revolver while the grips are in your armpit that appealing??

Even though Mernickle is mostly into the "cowboy" stuff, he will take the time to build what you want. Call the 1-800 number and talk to him.

I'm not just wasting oxegen here either. I've spent more than 2,000 dollars on his stuff for my "hand cannons". In fact my hunting rig for my super redhawk is from Bob. He'll be making me another rig in the near future.

It's worth the time and money-
It wiil be high quality.
It'll be custom.

My SS is a 3 inch, but I carry it in an Alessi talon clip holster and have zero complaints.
