Suggestions for a handy bolt rifle

That .45 with the stag grips is sexy, too. I had a set on one, gave the pistol away, kept the grips. Will install them on my new 1911 if I ever get invited to a Texas BBQ.

And... yes, that's one sexy rifle...mmmm....

You might also consider a Remington 600 or 660 in the calibers you desire. They are out there but perhaps a little too expensive. I saw several at a gun show today from $375 up to $1350.

the best 4 are all remmy, 7 , mohawk 600, 660, and the 788.

ThisiswhatI'msayin..... Take a good look at the Remington Model Seven. A Savage 10FCM scout could be in the running, but it's not a pretty rifle.

ive got a model 7 youth in 243 with a black synthetic stock and iron sights, one of my favorite guns, very very handy and extremely accurate

I thought a few would mention a Browning A-Bolt 'Micro-Hunter'. It's worth a look. I have a micro medallion in 284win. It's a great rifle but a little hard to get these days.
