had an idea the oher day while i was looking at the link to the 72 round glock mag posted in the autopistol forum. the same company makes a mac10 with a side cocking handle and a weaver rail on top. now, i was thinkin' if you could find a company that made a weaver rail to weaver rail adapter, you could mount the mac10 on the bottom rail of an ak or other rifle. i have an ak that i've completely "assimilated" borg style, just for fun and i might just do this to see how far i can take this thing. problem is, i'm thinking it might be illegal. with a normal barrel length mac10, attaching it to an ak might be considered adding a stock which would make it an sbr. i'm pretty sure it would be legal with a 16" barrel, but that would just look funny and the whole point is a completely over the top, cool looking death machine. i know it's completely ludicrous, but that's the point, any thoughts?

You mean a setup like this?

TDI arms calls them a "Universal Tactical Attachments"

I love it! Reminds me of that Simpsons episode where Homer gets a gun, and then gets kicked out of the NRA for using it to open beer car cans. Anyway, at the NRA meeting, one of the characters displays a shotgun with four pistols lashed to it with an elaborate system of strings and sticks:

"And that's how, with a few minor adjustments, you can turn a regular gun into five guns."

cesiumsponge, that is freakin' beautiful! i was thinkin' something a little different, but the sheer audacity of it is perfect. now the question remains: is it considered a short barreled rifle or are do you suppose our friends at atf have enough common sense to consider it a rifle and a pistol?

hmmm, with enough duct tape.......

If you attach a pistol to the underside of a rifle, you've created a short barreled rifle, since you've added a stock to a pistol.

So SBR a GLOCK and have at it...

Once the Glock is SBR'ed, it is an SBR no matter the configuration(stock or not); and as long as the Rifle has atleast a 16" barrel, you are golden! Now the tricky part comes in when you have to co-witness the RIFLES sights to the PISTOL'S point of impact out to a known range of say 7-35 yds or meters

Please Stop hanging around the mall..............

And start having fantasies about naked women. If you are selective you'll have more fun and won't run afoul of the law. Which ever road you choose to follow....Have fun...........Essex

That looks like something Ron Popeil would invent.

Does it come with a free pocket fisherman, or set of steak knives?

:D

P.S. I have seen them before, I am guessing it would end up in the drawer along with the Hellfire, GAT, pistol grip shotgun stock, etc...I call gimmick.

yeah, um the whole point is to be ridiculous - just for fun. some of you need to read my signature. as far as fantasizing about naked women, well, i've got plenty of time for fantasies of all kinds. matter of fact, i've recently developed a surplus of time. that's why my posts are so annoyingly long.
