Magaport for porting is often recommended.
I have a pic somewhere of a port job done on IIRC an SRH by one of our members coupla years ago. Not so sure it didn't cost $300 total when done!!!
I contemplated doing it to my .454 SRH but manage fine without and find it hard to justify so much expense!

Any good gunsmith a do a trigger job for you, just make sure to call ahead. Some gunsmiths do and some don't.
Get a hold of Magna-Port if you wan't your SRH ported. Do not let a private person port it, only let a porting factory do it so your SRH doesn't lose value.

The porting isn't that expensive, usually around $150.00.

Success! Thanks to a thumbnail appraisal of some folders. Member here, Diesle, who does not post often - had his .454 done. IIRC Magna-Port reduced barrel length and threaded and then added the front end - so I guess in a sense it has been compensated as much as ported!
Hmmm - seem not to be showing yet - I'll re-attach - still seems a prob, wonder if my end. Let me know if they show for you and if not I'll throw them on a server.
