I have a Bushmaster Predator, so that is off my list by default. Even if I didn't have that, I think I would still vote M1, though.

M1A - from your list. A couple of mint Swiss K-31s - or perhaps another Steyr 1952 carbine - from mine.

If I had to choose one of these, in the absence of any context, I'd take the first one, simply because I'm most acquainted with it.
With some context, my choice might change to the M1A.
Of course, with actual freedom of choice, my selection wouldn't be in that list.

I'd pick the M1A because I've ALWAYS wanted one and I've already got the flattop AR. If I didn't have the flattop AR then it'd be my first choice with a scope. (for that money)

I wouldn't necessarily want a bull barrel, though, if by that you mean a true HBAR barrel profile. I wouldn't necessarily want M4 profile, but I wouldn't want it to weigh a ton, either.

i would be another opting for none of the above but as we only have the coices you gave us I would take any of em I suppose. If I had $1500 my money would go for something else.

Well that is and easy one last Saturday I was at a local gunshop they had taken a like new Socom 16 in on trade for a full size M1a they said the guy might have fired 20 rounds. I got it for 1299.out the door tax included. Now to shoot it this weekend.
