I'm currently looking at acquiring a CZ SP-01 Phantom, but I was wondering if anyone knew where to look for a threaded barrel that'll fit. Tried Jarvis, but it seems CZ nowhere to be found. Due to the lack of such parts, I wonder if the CZ-75 design not suppressor-friendly.

this place sells threaded extended barrels for the CZ-75 gun:

look under Other Parts

$299....I was going to get one but given the cost of the barrel and a good silencer plus ATF tax, I'm looking at good $1200 or so ...i would rather spend that $$$ on a new gun

A minor problem with the CZ and suppression is that the barrel is right at .500", and there would be no shoulder at the end of the threading for the can to butt up against. CZ sells a 6" barrel that could be cut and threaded, and the threading would be 1/2" x28tpi with no shoulder, or some slightly smaller and irregular threading that would be approaching the point of being too little steel remaining, and possibly too weak to support the weight and torque of the suppressor during firing. I had a .45 barrel snap off at the shoulder during firing from the weight and stress created during firing, so it CAN happen. It might be possible to get a barrel with a slightly larger diameter, but this would require milling the slide barrel bushing a little larger, and that is a delicate venture, also. It IS possible to machine the mount of the suppressor to match the length of the threading on the barrel, to permit 1/"x28, but the mount might then be dedicated to the one gun, and the owner not able to switch the can from gun to gun. Lots of issues. A suppressor manufacturer is certainly the the place to go for a definitive answer, as many of them do this kind of work, and solve these kind of issues. Bar Sto used to make CZ barrels, but I think they quit.
