Does purchasing a NFA suppressor give the Feds the right to come and look anytime they want or is it other NFA items. I searched first and didn't find answer. Thanks Mac
No, having fun toys does not nullify your 4th amendment rights.
A lot of people get this from the fact that FFLs are subject to inspection (but only during business hours and only on the premises of the business) but it does not apply to individuals who purchase NFA weapons.
No problem. In my experience, that line of "don't get into NFA, it gives the ATF the right to come into your home and search at will" is spread by a lot of gun shops that don't know much about the NFA and would rather you buy a gun from them instead of a suppressor from someone else.
Good luck with your NFA weapons! God knows they're very addictive!
