Surefire batteries

I was so happy to see that the price went down..I was getting to the point that I would rather bump my head on stuff than use my 12.50 batteries!

I ordered a box of 10 from Botach Tactical for about $13 about 4 weeks ago, They are still not here! Let me know how this co. works out for you.

Any reason you guys are specifically ordering Surefire brand batteries? You'd be surprised how few actual manufacturers of batteries there are worldwide. I bought a case of Duracell 123 Lithium batteries on eBay about a year ago. 200 batteries for $100 plus shipping. They came out to about $.51 each.

Update on botach... They just came in about 3 minutes ago, with this note attached.

Mine came w/ Duracells. Aren't lithium batteries, lithium batteries? I'd rather spend the money on a higher output bulb.

For other sources, Zreiss is a photo store and supplier (www.zreiss.com) that sells GE/Sanyos for $1.68 at a quantity of 24 or more.

While we're talking about cheap batteries, try www.cheapbatteries.com. They also carry the GE/Sanyo brand for $2 up to 48 batteries, and then drop to $1.65.

If you want to get really cheap, I'd recommend buying the 223 6 volt lithium batteries. Why? Because in each 223 is a pair of 123s waiting to be broken out. Open up the plastic case take out the cells, remove the connector strip, and if the cells are just the bare metal shell, give them a quick wrap with tape. Done. Now, at a cost of $2 per 223, your cost per 123 battery can be as low as $1, sometimes less.

eBay also has alot of these batteries listed that sell out at under or around $2 after shipping.

Ron's got the right idea. I got 4 223 batteries off of eBay for $8.
Split them open and I now have 8 123 batteries for $1 each.

Oh, and the Energizer packs that I split open were covered in shrink wrap, so I didn't even have to wrap them with tape.

Thanks for the heads-up, I already have around 20-30 Duracell Ultras laying around the house but I'm going in on an order with a buddy to get a box for myself. Can't have too many batteries with six Surefires in the house. :D

Too bad the price drops don't seem to be passing on to the two and three cell Surefire battery packs for the Responder shotgun mounted lights. They're still around $13 each for the 6V battery. :(

I don't get it. The Surefire batteries are a dozen for $15.00. That isn't a bad price. So what if Surefire doesn't actually manufacture batteries ? You gotta buy them somewhere. And I have been in a pinch and paid through the nose for batteries at the drug store.
I orderd two dozen.
