While I can find the specs on most AR-15 handguards out there, ie. Daniel Defense, Troy, YHM, etc. I can't seem to find the weight of the surefire handguards, in particular the surefire m85 (midlength). I am about to drop surefire an email, but does anyone have any practical experience, of how much heavier the surefire is compared to other midlength handguards?

thanks,

I've sold quite a few of them. I've never noticed their weight being significantly different from any other system. I haven't really been paying attention, but they certainly don't strike me as heavier.

They are a whole lot cheaper though. :) I even put them as an option on my RRA buy, just because they have been a really popular addition.

i'm surprised that info isnt on surefires website. they have spec sheets on all their gear.
No, I searched around, and couldn't find anything, so I emailed them this afternoon.

Talk about quick customer service. I emailed them, and in about 5 minutes I received a response that the M85 is 22 oz.

There's a chart a few posts down in that thread with all the railed fore ends out there along with pricing and weight, among other things.

I had downloaded that chart last week, but sure enough, the weight on the surefire is blank. To be honest, I emailed surefire, figuring they would respond back in a couple of days; so I posted this question here. I didn't realize they would respond back in 5 minutes.

Whoops. Sorry. I didn't notice the missing information on that chart.
