Reached 5000 rounds through the Infinity I got in late July over the weekend. Here's a link to the original review: http://thehighroad.org/showthread.php?t=534685

Ammo

100 Federal HST 230gr +P
4900 Reloads, 230 gr. Missouri Bullet LRN over 4.7gr. Bullseye.

Maintenance

Field strip and clean after ever shooting session (usually 200-500 rounds)
Detail strip and clean every 2000 rounds.
Replace recoil and firing pin springs every 3000 rounds.
Clean with Ballistol, lube with FP-10, have recently switched over the lightweight Slide Glide with good results

Overall

Still incredibly happy with the gun. The build quality, fit, and finish are hands down better than any other high-end 1911 style gun I've ever had experience with. (Baer, Brown, Wilson, Nighthawk, etc) Every day I discover some little detail that is either brilliantly engineered or ridiculously robust.

I had thought I had found that the 1911 was the platform for me, but after really shooting this gun, and shooting it side-by-side with my 1911s, I've found that the 2011 with the Strayer Signiture grip is the platform for me. The grip fits my hands much better, their competition pinned grip safety design allows for a grip 1/8 - 1/4 inch high grip than traditional semi-custom 1911 designs. Not only is the grip more comfortable, but it aligns my fingers and muscles in a way that my sights return from recoil in the exact point they left without thought or effort. I also am a big fan of heavy guns, and the 2011 platform and the diversity of custom options SVI offers a lot of ways to add weight that most companies don't, especially since the popular idea now is shedding weight.

Due to a combination of what I feel are superior ergonomics and performance and no longer being able to trust my carry 1911, (15,000 round report on that gun coming later this weekend) I've been carrying this one a fair bit. The weight (~65 ounces loaded) doesn't bother me one bit, and even with the magwell it is very concealable, but the six inch barrel in an IWB renders my back pocket totally useless. I'd very much like to get a purpose-built 5" carry SVI, but god know when I'll have the money for that.

Part Breakages

None.

Malfunctions

The gun has yet to have a failure to feed, eject, or fire. The followers are designed for max capacity in competitions where lockback on empty mags is typically disabled, so lockback on the gun is still kinda wonky, but I have enough mags to carry or leave by the night stand that lock back to not worry about it, especially since they promised me free followers of a new lockback-friendly design when they're done with development.

Accuracy

I don't shoot rested because its boring and a crutch for shooting skills, but I can hold 50 rounds in a 1.5 inch group consistently at 50 feet. Probably nowhere near the gun's accuracy potential, but it hasn't degraded, which is to be expected with so few rounds through it.

The Infinicoat finish has held up very well. Its gotten heavy use in Kydex holsters and its barely showing any wear:

I could not be happier with the gun. I'll post back again when it hits 10,000, but that will probably be a few months since my ammo budget isn't what it used to be.

Ok, that is the nastiest 1911 I have ever seen! Wow that is mean. Thank you for the fine review we all love reading up on the details. What a machine.
