If you could choose between these two, which one would you carry as your CCW, and why? CZ-85B or SW1911 9mm? This will also be your only weapon for the rest of vour life and in case of SHTF. Try to imagine that scenario.

Interesting choices for a CCW weapon - these are both full-sized weapons, and the S&W hasn't been released yet. I guess for carrying purposes the 1911 would be slimmer than the CZ, but at a tradeoff of capacity (I guess the 1911 would have 9 round magazines while the CZ would have 16 rounders).

If I had to choose I'd go with the CZ for reliability purposes.

I like both of those, but I'd say CZ 85 for the capacity.

Really it would depend ENTIRELY upon the carry method. If carrying OWB, then the CZ. If carry IWB/tuckable, then the SW.

I'd go with my CZ-85 COMBAT! Ambidextrous safety and slide release, more capacity, DA/SA, better ergonomics (for me anyway).

I have the 1911 Pro 9MM and can say it is the best gun I have ever owned. It is tight accurate and the recoil is like a 22. This gun is worth twice what I paid for it. Just for a reference I have had 50+ firearms pass through my collection over the years and this is my hands down favorite if I had to live with one this would not be a sacrifice.

Both are kinda large, but I carried a full size steel frame pistol for several years as a CCW, so it can be done, even in hot AZ summers, with the right holster...still have the Galco OWb pancake rig I used for it, though the Witness it held is long gone. I'd vote CZ, but that's because I am very fond of CZ quality, accuracy and ergonomics. I also am a fan of double action!:)
