Here's the deal. I have two AR15s that were built on consecutively numbered lowers. I didn't intend to wind up with them both. I went in with a family member to buy the lowers, and each of us built a rifle from them. Later, though, he swore off AR15s and bought a G3 rifle. In the course of doing so, he sold me his AR15 at a price I couldn't turn down.
Anyway, now I have both. One is a 16" HBAR and the other is a 20" Government profile. Both have standard handguards and an A2 carry handle. The 20" has a chromed barrel, but the 16" has a collapsible stock. Basically, they're different but still very similar. For whatever reason, I gravitate toward the 16" rifle more often, and I tend to shoot it far more often. I've also started to look at some AKM rifles, especially a Yugo underfolder that I really like for some reason. I've never owned an AK-type, so maybe this is the time. Because of money and gun-safe capacity, I'd have to sell the 20" if I get the Yugo. I'm curious. How many of you would make that swap?
