swaping stocks on ar-15

I have a fixed position "c.a.r. from model one sales" stock on my ar. do I need a different buffer and spring to go to an A2 stock or will the one I have now work?

Yes, the buffer and buffer spring are different. You'll also need a buffer tube which houses the buffer and buffer spring for the A2 stock.
