Much to my surprise and delight, a good friend of mine presented me with a S&W model 66-1 today as a graduation present! He has had this revo for some time, and I have always wanted it and even contemplated trading him my .270for it at one point. Now, it is all mine!
It's a pretty cool gun. Evidently, it was at one point a San Diego Sheriffs pistol, as on the side it is stamped "SD Sheriff". It has pachmayr grips, adjustable sights and an orange insert on the front post. In double action, it is exceedingly smooth, and in single action it is crisp and to the point. Having shot it before, I knew that I was accurate with it, and shooting it today proved that it wasn't a fluke. All in all, it was a very generous gift from a very generous friend!
