I have the Redding Big Boss II - I believe it has the same primer system as the T7. My experience is the same as @CQB45ACP - maybe 3 or 4 in a hundred won't go down the tube.I decapped 110 45ACP cases yesterday on mine and all primers stayed in the ram/tube. I have had them jump out from time to time but not nearly what you are describing.
Good idea. I don’t prime with mine either.Had the same problem. I inserted a square piece of wood in the slot and glued it in. Measure the slot width, it corresponds to a standard piece that you find a Home Depot. Might be a stir stick width. That slot is only there to use the priming arm, and I don't prime on the press.
All the primers now go down the shaft, into the cup.
Darn! The press isn’t included.Maybe something like this?

I haven’t a clue how you did that but I like it a lot.I had the same problem on my lee turret press & fashioned up a piece of aluminum pop can to fill the gap that the primers come through.(red arrow)
