About half of removed primers are popping out of the front of the press and onto the floor.

Any ideas on how to get them to go down into the hole in the center to the hose repository?

I’ve put a plastic box, about 3x5, underneath mine and done away with the plastic tube. That’s probably got me to 95% success. Hopefully someone can offer a better option. I’ll be watching.

I decapped 110 45ACP cases yesterday on mine and all primers stayed in the ram/tube. I have had them jump out from time to time but not nearly what you are describing.

(Still haven’t cleaned up since yesterday)

I have the Redding Big Boss II - I believe it has the same primer system as the T7. My experience is the same as @CQB45ACP - maybe 3 or 4 in a hundred won't go down the tube.

I have the Big Boss II which appears to be the same setup. I have the auto primer feed setup on mine and never had that problem. It may be that the sled blocks the port enough it doesn't happen. But it's in the back position when depriming.

Had the same problem. I inserted a square piece of wood in the slot and glued it in. Measure the slot width, it corresponds to a standard piece that you find a Home Depot. Might be a stir stick width. That slot is only there to use the priming arm, and I don't prime on the press.

All the primers now go down the shaft, into the cup.

Good idea. I don’t prime with mine either.

From link:
Primer Director upgrade for the Redding T7 Reloading press(not incl)
This item will also work with the Big Boss 2 press whose ram has the clear tube attached to the ram.
The kit includes 4 primer director parts 2 of each style.

One of my RockChucker primer catcher kits from Ebay came with something similar. Did its job just fine!

Wondering if the 'long-ish' slot in the Redding ram is more prone to spittin stuff out than a ram with a shorter slot? (My Chucker Supreme's priming arm slot is ~1 3/4"~. )
