I have 2 T/C hawken rifles. One is kinda old. Don't quote me by it, but i would say late 80's anyway . its a 50 cal. The other is a real nice mid 90's 45 cal.. I am wanting to bring them back out to Hog hunt with.
1st question: i was just reading that you can shoot sabots in these guns and suppose to be accurate. Has anyone Tried this in one of these guns? and if so how accurate are they?
2nd question: I was reading that these guns are tapped for a scope base. now i know a bunch of you will cringe at the thoughts of this. But let me tell you. I am having problems anymore , focusing with iron sights. Either my target blurrs out or my sights do. My eyes are getting kinda bad. Does anyone know what model of scope mount fits these things or where i can purchase one?
3rd question: are all the models of T/c hawken rifles tapped or is it just the new ones? i would hate to purchase a scope mount for one of these guns and it not work. I would really like to just do it to the older 50 cal. and leave the 45 cal alone and pass it down to my son when he gets old enough to hunt with me.
Any info would be great !!!!
