Did you know that you could fire 50 rds through a gun and it still be considered NIB. This guy evidently does.

http://www.gbstore.com/Auction/ViewItem.asp?Item=49235367

Check out his other auctions, Did you know that a plain jane bushmaster was worth 1300 dollars?

Am I the only one that is thinking "Why would you lubricate plastic?" I know that I don't put any kind of chemical on the plastic parts of my weapons. (Military or civilian) They can began to break down the material.

He's trying to do his best. Maybe his wife told him to sell his guns. This would be my plan.

"But dear, I put them all on Gunbroker and nobody wants to buy them. I'll guess I'll just have to keep them." ;)

:scrutiny:

50 rounds is nib? Since when is that how it works?

Fired his glock once to test and then put in safe...new in case. Ok once to test and still calling it new, thats ok. But look at the thing it looks its been used a heck of alot more then once lol. Just cause it was new to him when he fired it once doesn't make it new lol.

Hey, by that guy's standards my wife is NIB, too!

Only fired twice! Some holster wear, though.

What should I set the opening bid and "Buy It Now" price at?:D

Isn't the LaserMax worth about $200 new?

I too think he's high, but with a Beretta and a high-end laser, if it's in good condition, maybe only by $150 or so.

Not as bad as some jokers on the auction sites.

I am looking to "sell" a few guns to raise money for some household projects. My wife successfully argued I've got way more guns than I can shoot, and she's selling off several of her family heirloom funiture pieces to raise the funds from her side. (I'm thinking to myself, if she's so willing to sell that stuff, it dosen't mean that much to her, so it's not exactly the same...) Part of me agrees with her, other than the knowledge that they're "there", they do little for me, at least right now...

However, I'm loathe to sell the guns, I do have probably 40+ in my collection by now, however, I have virtualy no repetition in my collection, so whatever I give up is going to hurt. And now with four kids in diapers, it'll be a long time before I get any more...

Frankly, putting them on GB and over-pricing them has occurred to me too.

"See honey I tried to sell them, no-one's biting..."
So I think GB and the other sites are probably just full of guys who don't really want to sell. :p

(Actualy, after perusing GB together, my wife was very discouraged that it seemed about 90% of the auctions ended with no buyers, and she actualy hasn't brought it up since. I carefuly avoided pointing out that everyone there seems to price thier auctions over NIB retail. I may already have won... :D )

In one of the auctions he said he was using Eezox. I've worked in places where the methodology was to dip the gun parts in a tank of Eezox, and scrub. Eezox is quite oily, and doesn't really wipe off. I think that may explain his guns looing like they have a freshly applied pomade (sorry, word of the day).

In his description of the Glock 17: "This gun retails as is for $900.00"

lol..what a clown.
