Talk me into a TCP...

i'd rather carry a slingshot than a taurus.....there's no one who could ever talk me into owning another taurus. i've given them chances over the years and have owned several. never again....:barf:

I rather carry my trouble free taurus m44, 605 , pt145 than listening to what you have to say.

I own both Taurus TCP and Sig P238 and love them both. Sig shoots better and easier but costs twice as much. Of the $300 range guns in DAO, TCP is very good. Well made (USA) and has lighter trigger pull, 2 mags, bulldog carry pouch and slide lock. I'm into about 500 rounds now with no gun related problems (2 round issues with priv ammo but none in the last 400). Wont give up my Sig but I prefer to carry TCP because it's DAO. Regular 4-5 inch groups at 15 yds in center mass, which is more than accurate enough for this class of CC guns. FYI, the Sig shoots even better for me but again, it's in a different class, and is SAO.

Two of my friends each bought a Taurus 738.

One of them picked up his new gun and noticed the slide looked used while the receiver looked brand new. He returned it for a replacement gun.

My other friend found he had occasional FTF problems and returned it to Taurus for inspection and repair. The are sending him a replacement gun.

So, if I get a TCP, 244.00 at Buds, it may not function well, but Taurus will fix or replace the gun free of charge including shipping? And it has a better trigger and larger finger well, which for me is important, because I have "bear paws." It may be worth the roll of the dice , if in the end I will have 100% functioning gun that fits my hand, Yes?

Magazines are hard to come by, just go check Gunbroker.......
yeah but it comes with two if your dealer didn't rip you off!

I fancy small for their caliber guns as a big part of my collection so practicality is not my main consideration. I've the P3AT, LCP, Sig P238, and S&W Bodyguard 380.

Of them all I prefer the S&W Bodyguard 380 the best for actual carry.

Although I'll admit the SIG P238 is the most fun at the range, but is suffers from not having an ambi safety for left handed use as CCW. (I usually carry a mouse gun for left handed use and do most of my point shooting practice with them lefty).

I suspect its just a matter of time before I come home from a gun show with the Taurus TCP just because I like small guns.

The P3AT and P238 are hopeless with the cheap Wolf steel cased ammo, while the Bodyguard and LCP shoot this stuff just fine. To me this means the operating margins of the P3AT and P238 are very thin.

I have the P3AT, LCP, and TCP. No problems with any of them. TCP has the BEST trigger and is the most enjoyable to shoot. My only dislike is the mag base. It's just enough longer to print in some of my pockets.
