I'd be willing to pay an extra $100 over a standard M77 MKII for the old safety and a forged receiver... esp if they would make them slightly heavier, say a No 4 contour and a black/gray laminate stock. Offer it in 25-06, 6.5x55 (or 260) and 270 and I'll buy one of each. And if they'd put out a 6.5x284 or 6.5-06 in the VT series, I bet there'd be a lot of happy campers and I'd be the first in line.
Let's just start with some basics...
How about they fix what they got:
Let's see... this is kinda like following the yellow brick road to Oz...
Main items, I have 2.
Give the Mini-14 consistant and repeatable ACCURACY.
Give the DA Revolvers (and your autos) smooth and light TRIGGERS.
Elective items, I have 2.
Give the Auto Pistols some little brothers.
Pistol caliber carbines that use pistol mags.
Calibers 9, .357Sig, 40, 10MM, .45ACP and capable of .45 SMC/SUPER.
What the heck I'll throw in my .02 as well. I'm so pleased with my new stainless 5.5".44 Bisley that I'll ask for one in .41 mag and .357. I'll take one of each please.
I want an SP-101 made for women so my wife will want one. It should have pearl grips optional or Hogue-style COMFY grips. It should come in polished SS and maybe a few colors in Ti and it should say something in script about women on the side like Colt's "Special Lady."
Also, didn't Bill Ruger support the 10rd ban on civillian magazines in order to gain market share away from Glock? My memory needs a refresher.
