Will the Lee Factory Crimp Die produce a taper crimp, or is a taper crimp something different?
I am loading up some Hornady 150 gr. FMJ-BT's for my M1 Garand. That bullet has a cannelure, and will accept the roll crimp from my RCBS seater die. I might also be interested in loading some Nosler 150 gr. Ballistic Tips for the M1 Garand as well, and I have read that I need to do a taper crimp since that bullet has no cannelure. How do I achieve this taper crimp? I do own a .30-06 Lee FCD.
