I made a couple more stands to hold targets. One to hold 2x2s to staple cardboard to, and a couple to hold 2x4s to put steel targets on.

This one is for the 2x2s. Similar to one I made before, shown with 2x2s in it. IMG_20161022_113118_269.jpg IMG_20161022_113732_262.jpg Target Frame Pic 2.jpg

I made one to sink into the ground to hold a 2x4 to put steel targets on. I also made a bracket from re-bar to fit my 18" 1/4" thick target and welded it to a piece of 2x4 steel tubing. I put a piece across the top so it could go over a 2x4 and hang there. It will be set at about 45/50 yards for shooting pistols at so I welded a thrown away 8" AR 500 plate to the front of the steel tubing to protect it from low misses on the big plate. I put a piece of re-bar through the tube (Piece of old trailer axle) to help keep it from rotating in the concrete. I had to dig through a bit of rock where I put it.

A view from behind it to the shooting deck. The target hags pretty much straight down, but the shots will still hit it and go down because of the terrain.

Here is a view from the deck. You can see the new target at about 45/50 yards, plus the older one at just over 100 yards. It's hanging on chains. IMG_20161029_171604_321.jpg

I also made a holder for targets to shoot close up. I set it at 50 feet from the front edge of the deck. It had to be tall because of the hill, so I made it so it hinged. It can fold down out of the way and also to change targets or paint targets. It is shown with a full length stud. I may shorten it a little.

Nice stands. I've made some similar that use 1x2s instead of 2x2s. I put some thumb screws in the stands to hold the wood in place.

But I like your "feet" for the stands. They would work better for un-even ground than the flat ones I have made.
