Well, I taught a noob today. I've known this guy for about 6 years, he came up through the youth group at my church and has never been shooting. I don't know about anybody else here, but I get a lot of joy out of taking someone out and showing them that they can handle 'big scary guns' safely and have fun doing it. I taught him the 4 rules on the drive down, then showed him how to hold them properly and how to watch the muzzle. We shot my 22 smith revolver then a buckmark and ended with a 9mm M&P and a Makarov. Needless to say I'll be available to him to help him pick his first gun.

I should've shown him how to clean them, too... ;)

Just had to tell some folks who would understand....

CONGRATULATIONS! There are few endeavors in life more worthwhile, than passing the torch of freedom to the next generation, by teaching responsible firearms use to a non-shooter.
