Hi friends!

I have been lurking for quite some time now and finally have a question!

I have a Taurus 44/w 6.5in. barrel (.44 mag, made in '96) I have shot nurous rounds through it, and have recently started to notice that the cylinder has developed a little side-to-side play and well as front-to-back play. (when hammer is cocked, and also when not) Is there anything that can be done to correct this problem?

Thanks So Much In Advance!

How's it shoot?

Until accuracy starts to degrade, i'd continue to shoot it.

When the problem gets bad, then send it back for repair.

Have you gone over to www.unitedforums.com and clicked on the Taurus Forum and posted this question on either the Gunsmithing section or Revolver section? That is where the owners are. Would have a local gunsmith check the revolver over for this and see if it is necessary to send the 44 back. Some play is evident in most revolvers, little as it may be. May not be a problem.

Im really not so much woried about the ability to "twist" the cylinder clockwise or counter-clockwise, more, the ability to manipulate it front to back. Thank You for the replies though! Im a total bone-head and completely forgot about the lifetime warantee!

It does still shoot very accurate so maybe I am just being a worry-wart?!

Don't worry about it.Asking to find out was a positive thing. Letting a potential problem go would have been detrimental to you and the revolver.
