Well, I'll start off by saying that this is a gun I truly like. Usually, I cannot hit anything I aim at with a handgun, however, with this one I can actually pass as a decent revolver shot. Test was comprised of the Taurus 445 chambered in .44spl and the ammo was Magtech Cowboy 200gr FP load. All shots were fired at a measured 7 yards and stance was standing, 2 hand hold. Revolver was used in single action only, since the double action trigger pull is less than ideal. This was my first time shooting the little snub and I put all 11 rounds fired (all the ammo I had) into a neat little 2.4" group. I did notice that it was tossing the bullets a little to the left, however, I belive that with some hotter loaded ammo, this would go away. Recoil was a very nice surprise, which I would say is just a little bit less than my P3AT using defense loads. Truly, I could fire a whole 50rd box of ammo through this and my hand still would not be sore. The action is smooth and the single action pull is on par with my Smith revo's. All in all, for the $300 invested in this sweet little piece of .44 goodness, I am sure that it is the best .44 snub for the money and even comparable to equivilant S&W's, yes, I like it that much. I must give Taurus a big thumbs up for improving thier quality over the past few years, unlike Smith's tendancy of reducing quality...( Yes, I love my old Smith's, but the new ones just lack any character or craftsmanship.) Anyway, I can heartily recommend this pistol and would surely buy another, should this one ever get stolen/lost/broken. Now, I just have to find a good pocket holster.....:D

That's pretty good shootin especially with a 44 Snub.

I use the Gold Dot Speer 200gr Spl rounds either in BlaZer or brass and they are very accurate, deliberatly devastating in wounding, and easy on recoil.

Ya, I plan on getting a few boxes of that. It seems to be the best deal overall and has decent ballistics without breaking your hand with recoil.

I like mine

I have one of those in the stainless model, usually keep it fed with 200gr Silvertips, it seems to like those. The grips were a little short for my hands, so I put some Hogues on mine and have been very happy with it.
