I'm thinking of purchasing a Taurus 617 in stainless steel. I'm interested in views good or bad.

I'd endorse one.

As with all pistols now, I'd get a passel of rounds through it before carrying in order to exercise the warranty if needed.

We've had an 85, 66, 65, 856 and others and been 100% happy with ZERO returns to Taurus.

Todd.

The 617 looks nice. I have had no experience with that model, but the couple of Taurus revolvers I have are nice guns.

Thanks for the input. Lately I've been carrying appendix itw and have been leaning towards carrying a revolver snubnose for the proven reliability. This revolver seems to fit the bill.

I own a Taurus in 44 magnum of which I am very pleased. That's why I'm interested in the 617. The idea of 7 rounds of 357magnum sounds good to me.

I had a Taurus Tracker .357 that I liked real well. I also had a couple other Taurus revolvers that were good guns.
