I mainly shoot a 629 but my dad had a blued Taurus 669 in a drawer that had been shot 15-20 times since he bought it probably 25 years ago. Decided I would try it out so I loaded some mild cast .38 Spl loads to try. Accuracy at 25 yards was surprisingly good, but the cylinder has all kinds of side to side slop in it. Is it dangerous to shoot with a lot of slop? I am used to S & W that lock up pretty tight.. Also, the cylinder throats will barely catch a .358 bullet falling through and a .356 pin gage will not go in the barrel. Is this normal?
