Taurus 669

this actually isn't my gun. my brother's been helping me out these past few months; i went through a bad breakup, that involved kids. he's helped out a lot. so a couple of months ago, while hanging out at a local shop, i spied this Taurus 669 behind the counter. my brother's an avowed wheel gunnie, and when i saw it, i knew he'd love it. so, i put it on layaway, and finally finished paying on it this week. after hunting for a holster for a month, i finally found a nice leather paddle holster, from Safariland.








he's been wanting a .357 for awhile, now; all he had were .38 Specials and a .38SW breaktop. now he's ready for a .44 Magnum.

Nice looking Taurus, and you got one with without the unnecessary porting.

Good job, I was never a fan of ported Self-defense revolvers, especially with that long underlug to tame recoil (or at least muzzle rise).

I don't know why Taurus stopped making their wood grips they look so much better than the rubber ones.

Beautiful gun! And I agree, it looks a heckuvalot nicer with the wood stocks, versus rubber. Looking at the light drag line on the cylinder, it doesn't look to have been fired much at all. I wouldn't mind having one of these, or a Taurus 66, but they are usually priced at or near S&W Model 66 territory in my area. I used to own a 6" Model 66 7 shot a few years ago; other than tool marks around the front sight and a bit of stacking in the trigger pull (a preference thing), it was an excellent gun.
