Apparently I haven't paid enough attention to the Taurus 24/7 series in the last two years. I looked at their catalog and noticed the OSS line and 800 line were missing. Google turned up that they "combined the best features from the 800, OSS, and 24/7 lines" into one pistol.

But did the discontinue the OSS? I understand merging all three designs together, but does this mean they ended the individual models?

they merged them all into the 24/7 G2 series. not sure why they killed the 800 series though, that had a hammer, unlike the 24/7 and OSS lines. my guess: nobody was buying them.

wait around and i'm sure they'll bring another hammer fired gun back onto the market. taurus has more balls than any other company when it comes to introducing new products to see if they'll sell.

I would have bought one, but spare mags were unobtainable. Dumb idea to make them use different mags than the 24/7 or OSS.

Can't seem to find any info on this. Does the G2 design use a captive recoil spring like the Gen 4 Glock and Springfield XD?
