Taurus has new pistols coming out

Taurus has no more models than S&W. They actually seem comparable to them as far as new models goes. Really, just HOW MANY versions of the J-frame are the people at S&W going to make?

S&W has also been running into problems with parts proprietary to their various models.

Now, I haven't seen that particular new model before, and am genuinely curious about it.

That being said, when I first saw the title of the thread, my thought was:

When has Taurus ever been without a 'new pistol coming out'?

I have never owned a Taurus and probably never will, but for the people bashing them, consider this: do you have unreasonably high expectations for them? The old saying "You get what you pay for" probably holds true here.
When you pay for a $300-400 piece, don't expect it to perform like a Sig or HK.
