Taurus Model 80 and +P ammo?

I have a Taurus Model 80 revolver that I got in August, and was wondering if it is safe to fire +P ammo out of. It doesn't have any "+P" markings on it, so I'm going on the assumption that it is not okay in it. Can anyone shed some light on this? I have trouble finding this info on line.

Most modern revolvers will handle +P. Read your manual or get one from Taurus if you bought the gun used without manual. It will tell you what ammo it will accept and provide a warning against +P if you should not use it.

Taking your advice, I looked it up on their site:

""Plus-P" or "Plus-P-Plus" or other ultra or high velocity ammunition generates pressures significantly in excess of the pressure associated with standard ammunition. Such pressures may affect the useful life of the firearm or could exceed the margin of safety built into many revolvers and therefore could be dangerous.

Should be noted that Taurus' website does not have model specific manuals for their revolvers.

But, and I thought this was cool, was said in the manual:

"WARNING: Securing your firearm may inhibit access to it in a defense situation and result in injury or death."
