Taurus Model 94: how big of a cylinder gap is ok?

I was under the impression that the gap between the forcing cone and cylinder shouldnt exceed .007"

Mine is around .011" even after a trip back to Taurus for that, as well as a few other issues, does this mean that they think the gun is in spec? :confused:
 
it doesnt spray lead, but gives a fairly large blast of smoke from that area when firing
 
I called s&w about a spitting model 29 and was told standard production gaps can run from 6 to 10 th's. Some years back most revolvers ran around 6th's so I would say at 7th you have now is well with in what todays build tolerence. My 20 + year old Taurus model 94 is 5th's.
