Taurus Polymer Protector 357

Anyone have any first hand experience with one of these? I handled one at my lgs yesterday and have to admit that I liked it.

Just can't do ugly, and that thing's ugly. On the other hand, there are people who like Glocks, too.

BTW, don't take this as a Taurus-bash, because I really like my Taurus 85SSUL.

That ought to do without overwhelming you with data.

I would suggest finding gun store that has them and try them out. If it fits your needs well then get it. If not find something else.

With the "wood" grips in a tri-color scheme it actually looks kind of cool.. and the weight is about the same as the other ultra lights. I'd only seen the Poly Judge until now and that thing certainly won't win any beauty contests. If it's within your budget, take the leap and let us know how it shoots!

I have one in 38 special. It shoots well and the recoil is minimal due to the polymer frame. I think it looks good too.

I have a generally positive view of Taurus stuff, but dang that thing looks like a Smith mode 66 raped a Glock......
