The original PT-22 had an internet reputation for being a "Jammomatic",,,
The internet buzz about the 22-PLY has been the opposite.
The funny thing about the gun is it's nomenclature,,,
I own both the 22-PLY and the 25-PLY,,,
But nowhere is that on the pistols.
Taurus used the slides from the original PT-22/25's for the PLY version,,,
This prompts a bit if confusion as to which pistol one may actually have in hand.
I've never seen the polymer 22-PLY or 25-PLY with that nomenclature,,,
They have always had the PT-22/25 engraved on the slides.
I have owned my guns for many years now,,,
The 25-PLY has never ever malfunctioned for me,,,
The 22-PLY will eventually fail to eject if you let it get dirty.
One must remember that these pistols do not have ejectors,,,
Do one must keep the barrel/chamber squeaky clean.
Run CCI Mini Mags Round Nose in the 22-PLY,,,
You get about 200 rounds before it starts crudding up.
Great little mouse guns in my opinion.
