All,

I waited sometime before having the funds to purchase a 357 revolver. I have a Ruger Security 6 and GP100. Both great guns and was trying to expand my line and not break the bank.

I recently acquired a Taurus 44 Tracker and have been really impressed with Taurus in terms of quality and price. I was looking to buy a Taurus 4 inch revolver, but it seems like Buds, Grabagun, and Kentuckygun are clean out. I even looked at potentially getting a 38 special revolver. No joy.

I did see the new reviews for the Taurus 856 (6 shot 38 special), and typically once a good review on a specific model comes out, they will run out for

Never really thought there'd be a revolver shortage since most folks tend to migrate to semi autos. I guess revolvers are more popular than I imagined.

From what little I’ve seen, counters were clearing out even before last week and they are really clearing out now. Something about combining a pandemic and rioting seems to have caused people to suddenly have, for the first time in their lives, the thought, “I should own a gun.”

I stopped by a chain store in the suburbs of Dallas yesterday. The store had maybe 10 long guns and 20 handguns on display, and most of those were not oriented towards self defense (e.g. they had a Cricket and some hunting bolt guns, a Bond Arms derringer, some taurus pistols, abs Some higher dollar guns) and in the few minutes I was there they were selling the handguns as fast as they could do the paperwork/ring them up.

I didn't think of the riots being an issue, I guess I will just have to wait a little more time. Good thing I reload or else I'd probably notice and shortages and increasing process there as well.

I had my eye on the 692 for the versatility initially, but I prefer flared cylinders. I have the 9mm Taurus revolver. Shoots great, but moon clips. After about 5 clips, it starts to get cumbersome to remove the spent casings and clip new ones. However, I will say that I love the accuracy.
